At Christ Church, collective worship forms an integral part of our school day. We believe in enriching the spiritual development of both our children and staff, offering a variety of worship opportunities that are inclusive, invitational, and inspirational.
Throughout the week, worship is led in different ways, allowing all members of our school community to engage meaningfully. This includes worship sessions led by the Head of School, a member of local clergy or Christian children’s workers, uplifting praise through singing, child-led worship and reflection in class, and a celebratory end-of-week gathering.
We are grateful for the opportunity to nurture spiritual growth in our school and are committed to providing these moments of reflection, connection, and joy.

Window, Mirror and Doors
Window - Look outwards and learn

Mirror - Reflect. Ask questions

Door - Respond, step out. Live our values.
At Christ Church, our collective worship is structured using the 'windows, mirrors, doors' approach, which we believe helps foster a deeper spiritual understanding in our children. We encourage the children to first look out onto the world around them (the window), gaining an appreciation for its beauty, diversity, and challenges. They then reflect on what they have seen and learned (the mirror), considering how it connects to their own lives. Finally, they are empowered to make choices, take action, and become purposeful advocates for change (the door).

We aim to inspire our children to become courageous advocates, whether through their behaviour, thinking, or attitudes. We believe that by giving our children the tools to reflect and act, we are helping them grow into compassionate and proactive individuals who can make a positive impact on the world.
