Please be advised that the Year Two children did complete SAT Tests in the summer term. The results from those tests are used alongside the teachers knowledge of the child, how they perform in lessons and the work that they produce in their books. The test outcomes are intended as a guide to support the teacher judgement. The parents do not receive details of test outcomes as they only form a small part of the picture.
(It is not the same as Year 6 tests where the teacher has no input into the overall grade in Reading, Maths and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. The grade awarded is based solely on the test score at Year 6.)
In Year Two the teacher judgements have been moderated and are based on a wider knowledge of the child. Parents should refer to the school report issued on Friday to see the level that their child has achieved.
