Further COVID Cases

Dear Parents,

It is with regret that I have to inform you that we have now got 4 confirmed adult cases in the Infant building.

We have other staff awaiting a test and some staff who have been contacted by track and trace.

At the moment Nursery and Year 1 children can return on Wednesday 4th November.

RKT and 2DO will need to isolate for 14 days from the last day of contact with the staff in their classroom which means they need to isolate until Friday 6th November and can return on Monday 9th November.

RAF and 2VB will need to isolate until 3rd November. However they will not be able to return to school until 9th November as staff have been contacted by track and trace and need to isolate until the 6th November. We do not want to introduce additional staff into school at that point.

We have been in contact with Public Health England who have confirmed that our procedures are appropriate.

Please take extra care to keep safe. If you have any queries or questions please contact me on sblower@christchurchjunior.org.uk

Please note that the staff initially had no COVID symptoms and headaches and sore throats were experienced before the typical COVID symptoms emerged at the weekend.

Please inform me as soon as possible should your child receive a positive test result.

I will update this blog as and when further information is received.
