Dear Parents,
Please be advised that we have had to close a class bubble following contact on Monday. The child that tested positive attended school on Monday with NO SYMPTOMS. Their parents took them for a Lateral Flow Test on Tuesday as a precaution before placing them with family members due to the school closure and National Lockdown. The test was positive.
PHE have advised that all of the children in that bubble should now isolate up to and including the 14th January. The child has been taken for a full COVID test and we are waiting for confirmation.
This case highlights how this virus is spreading as some children and adults are not showing symptoms but others are becoming seriously ill.
We must stress that under the new lockdown guidance children should only attend school if there is no child care at home and their parent would be prevented for attending work as a Key Worker.
