Thank you for your help and support since we returned to school. You are working closely with the school to protect our community from COVID and bubble closures. Parents are being very cautious to check their child for COVID if they show any signs of being unwell; which is fantastic.
Some parents have already ordered and received Lateral Flow Tests for use in the home which helps to speed up the detection of the virus at the earliest opportunity.
If the Lateral Flow Tests are ordered in advance they can be stored at home ready for any occasion when a child is unwell. The test can be quickly administered and the child can (with a negative result) return to school without delay once they are well enough to do so.
Some parents have opted to testing their child each Monday before school as an extra precaution. This is something that you may wish to consider particularly for the older children. The tests are not pleasant and smaller children can find them distressing.
Staff are continuing to do home tests twice per week and are accepting vaccines as soon as they are offered.
Our shared vision is to keep our community safe whilst remaining open to as many children as possible. It has been wonderful to welcome the children back and to have complete classes again. We would very much like to keep it that way.
