Winter Food Grant - available to families not registered for Free School Meals.

If you are not registered or eligible for Free School Meals the grant may also be available to support your family this Christmas.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are pupils eligible for flexi-charging entitled to support?


Yes. To receive this support families must apply online. Further details will follow. Please email Mrs Blower with your contact details so that the information can be sent direct to you.


2. Are families whose Universal Credit applications have not yet been processed eligible for support?


Yes. To receive this support families must apply online. Further details will follow. Please email Mrs Blower with your contact details so that the information can be sent direct to you.


3. What about other pupils vulnerable to food poverty?


For any child or young person in a family in need of support but not eligible under the criteria above, we can arrange for them to receive support at the schools request.


You will need to contact the school to confirm if you wish to receive support no later than Friday 4 December 2020 at 12 noon.


4. Will pupils in receipt of Universal Infant FSM be eligible for support?


Pupils in receipt of UIFSM will only be eligible for support through this grant if they have a benefits related FSM claim or fall into the other groups detailed in answers 1-3 of this document.
