Strike Action Clarification

Dear Parents,

Please accept my apologies for any misunderstanding that has been created regarding my letter to you about the strike action this week. Miss Knowles has chosen to strike on each of the strike days and consequently 5K have missed 4 days of school. To reduce the impact on the children in 5K we then took the decision to spread the impact across the other classes. Conseqently on the last strike day 5C did not attend school and Mrs Cain taught 5K.

On these two days 6T will miss one day and 5K will be taught by Miss Tolley and on the other day 6M will not attend school and Mrs McWilliams will teach 5K.

We chose Year 6 for this period of strike action as many of them are out on transition days this week and so may not be impacted if the strike day falls on a day that they are at their new secondary school.

I hope that clarifies the situation. Please be assured that always act in the best interests of all of our children and felt that it was better to share the impact.

Yours sincerely

Mrs S Blower
