Christian Values

At Christ Church we have chosen to focus on six core values. These are: Respect, Kindness, Honesty, Love, Friendship, Perseverance

Statement of Intent

Our distinctively Christian ethos contributes to Christ Church as a centre of learning excellence inclusive to all. Through living out our core Christian values – respect, kindness, honesty, love, friendship and perseverance – we are a community in which all our members are respected and valued, and can flourish as human beings equally created in the image of God. As a school we provide an engaging, well balanced and inspirational curriculum through which every child’s potential may be fulfilled. Through positive encouragement and nurturing, each child has the opportunity to develop to the full – socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically – so as to be equipped with the life skills needed to live as a valued and valuable member of society.

How is Collective Worship Organised in School?

Collective Worship plays an important part in the life of our school. Worship at Christ Church Infant School is held daily and provides an opportunity to praise God through reading the Bible, stories, prayers and songs. It is rooted in the knowledge that God loves us as unique individuals made in the image of God.

Worship begins with the lighting of three candles and an introit and closes with prayer.

Global Links

Through our topics and drop down days we aim to ensure the children are globally aware. Global education helps pupils to see that they have a part to play in challenging injustice around the world.

During our Kenya day, the children enjoyed hearing about both Mrs Gahir’s and Mrs Juss’ childhood experiences growing up in Kenya. They looked at several artefacts and enjoyed learning about Kenya and our link school St John’s Buko RC Primary School.
